greetings and welcome!
please forgive this mess, i am in the process of updating my woefully out-of-date website & portfolio.
you can view the old site here - just know it is old and was honestly thrown together when i got started freelancing.
you can view the new site here - just know it is currently under construction!
the purpose of this temporary page is to give you, well, an excuse - but also a quick way to read about the services i provide and get some quick links to some examples of my work.
if you are interested in hiring me, you'll want to know that i am a great team player; work well with others, and am highly organized and detailed oriented. i currently do everything from meeting with clients/prospects, discovering what they want/need, putting a plan/proposal together, designing the site (in Photoshop), breaking it out into HTML/CSS (in GoLive), installing/configuring any PHP &/or Javascript (in BBEdit) type programs for needed functionality, and hosting the site. it's been said that i'm good at "reverse engineering" php/cgi/perl/javascript programs. though i can't write them from scratch, i seem to be pretty good at utilizing programs i find on hotscripts.com and customizing them to fit into a site pretty seemlessly (in general). additionally, I do some print design work - mostly brochures, business cards, flyers, posters, etc. I've been catching a lot of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau overflow in this area for the past couple years - but that's pretty sporadic.
i use mostly all the adobe creative suite (cs2) products: photoshop, illustrator, indesign, golive, acrobat; though i'll be transitioning from golive to dreamweaver within the coming months.
i'm also a Mac addict - i have a passion for the mac OS and on the side provide tech support & training for mac people.
...:. some examples .:...
this one i'm working on right now. the background header image will change upon each refresh, and the 3 middle images will be 3 Flash slideshows:

this is one i recently finished - client insisted on splash/intro despite my advice against):
some mockup designs - http://sybersite.com/clientized/projectskyward

here is one i did the design & development for, then passed it off to my Boston buddy to do the "member" area:

here are some that the final versions are behind secured areas or would require you to fill out forms to get to, so here are their final or close to final mockups before launching:

here's a really small favor for a friend (again with the rotating header):

client insisted on the dang watermelon (lol):

another small one that the client isn't really using much except for the installed store that he put in afterwards:
http://greenleafpress.com
here's a completely CSS (table-less) one:

this one the client already had a site for but couldn't figure out how to do a PDA-type gimmick for a particular section. i made it so they could easily change out the pics, txt & vids etc for each:

here's a foldout print publication i did. the hard part was disseminating all the data to create the big chart (scroll horizontally).

and here's some final screenshots of some others...

well, that's long & hideous, i know. sorry 'bout that. i'll get the new site & portfolio up & finished asap - but please don't let this sway your decision to contract/hire with me. life happens.
thanks for your time & consideration,
-jason.
